- We collect what it takes to run your server's features: your account, the servers you link, and the gameplay events those servers log.
- Server owners see their own servers' data. Survivors see what their owner switches on, such as killfeeds and leaderboards.
- No ads, no third-party analytics trackers, and we never sell your data.
- The demo keeps everything in your browser. Nothing you do there reaches us.
- Want a copy of your data, or want it gone? Email legal@opsz.dev.
Who we are
OPSZ ("we", "us") makes tools for people who run DayZ servers on Xbox and PlayStation through Nitrado, and for the survivors who play on them. This policy covers opsz.dev, the OPSZ console, the offline map and any feature we run on a server you link.
OPSZ is independent. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Bohemia Interactive, Nitrado, Microsoft or Sony.
What we collect
Your account
- Your email address, callsign and the credentials you sign in with.
- Your role (server owner or survivor) and the servers you own or have joined.
Servers you link (owners)
- Your Nitrado service ID and the access you grant OPSZ to that server.
- Server settings and config files such as types.xml, events.xml and cfggameplay.json, plus status, slots and the modules you switch on.
- Join codes, whitelist queues and ban lists.
Gameplay data from linked servers
- Events your server writes to its logs: gamertags, connections, kills (weapon, distance, location) and in-game positions. This is what powers maps, base radar, killfeeds, leaderboards and anticheat flags.
- Your gamertag and membership status when you join a server with a code.
Activity and technical data
- An audit log of console actions, such as restarts, bans and config changes, and which account made them.
- Standard request data our servers receive when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type.
What stays in your browser
- Your light/dark theme choice, saved in local storage.
- In the demo, all sample data lives only in your browser's local storage and never reaches us.
- Your sign-in session token is held in memory only. It is not written to local storage or cookies.
We don't run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
How we use it
- To run the features you or your server owner switch on: maps, GPS, killfeeds, leaderboards, banking, factions, airlift, teleports, base radar, anticheat and config deploys.
- To validate config changes before they ship and keep the audit trail.
- To secure the service, spot abuse and investigate problems you report.
- To email you about your account and important changes to the service.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who can see what
- Server owners see the members, gameplay data, whitelist, bans and audit log for their own servers, and nothing for anyone else's.
- Survivors see what their server owner enables. A killfeed or leaderboard shows gamertags and stats to other members of that server.
- Discord: if an owner streams their killfeed to Discord, those events are posted to that owner's Discord channel and handled under Discord's own policies.
- OPSZ staff with platform admin access can see account and server data to operate and support the service.
- We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it for advertising.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers who process data on our behalf or as part of features you use:
- Nitrado, to read and update the servers you link.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers, to run the website, console and database.
- Google Fonts, which serves the site's typefaces. Google receives your IP address when your browser loads them.
- Discord, only for servers whose owner turns on killfeed streaming.
How long we keep it
- Account data stays while your account is open.
- Gameplay data and audit logs for a server stay while that server is linked, unless its owner asks us to delete them sooner.
- When you delete your account or unlink a server, we delete the related data within a reasonable period. Copies in backups age out on their normal schedule, and we may keep what the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Owners can approve or ban members from the console, and can ask us to unlink a server and delete its data.
- Survivors can leave any server they've joined.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how we use it. Email legal@opsz.dev and we'll respond within the time the law requires.
If your data came from a server you play on, its owner decides much of how that server's data is used. We'll help you reach them, and we'll act on valid requests ourselves.
Security
We use access controls so each owner's server data is kept separate from everyone else's, and we encrypt traffic between your browser and OPSZ. Config changes are validated before they reach your server. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact legal@opsz.dev straight away.
Children
OPSZ is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We don't knowingly collect their personal data; if you believe a child has given us data, contact legal@opsz.dev and we'll delete it.
International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the console before it takes effect. See also our Terms of Service.
